the most important part of the corporate promo assignment is having regular meetings with my client, this will allow me to create accurate promotional content to his companies needs, the man i would be meeting with is called James and was the company director. Within this post i am going to be documenting all of our meetings and a brief description of what they consisted of.
Prior to the meetings with my client we had several phone calls, i will evaluate each conversation.
Phone call one:
The first phone call between me and the client mainly evolved around my offer of making a corporate video for him, we got to know each others names and he said he would get back to me if he would like to take up the offer
Phone call two:
The second phone call evolved around the client accepting my offer of making his company a corporate video, he explained how they had a new website being built and could use a small video promoting a kitchen in their latest house, to conclude the conversation we arranged the first meeting and took down basic information.
Meeting one
The first meeting I had with James was on the 17th January, this was initially and introductory meeting, in this meeting I gave him the brief to fill out, had a conversation with him in more detail going over the brief and generally getting to know more about him and his company, he filled out the form and we went over each section of the brief in more detail.
Meeting Two
The second meeting took place on the 21st February, this meeting took place in the location in which I would be filming, this was a fairly brief meeting and it was an opportunity for me to look around the filming location and for James to explain which locations within the house he wanted highlighted within the promotional video, we went over the brief again and double checked everything was in order before I returned. The final thing we went over was some pre-production, We discussed the shooting schedule to make sure he was available to be present for the shoot, we also went over a small risk assessment, shot list and budget; as he would be funding the costs.
Meeting three
The third meeting happened on the 31st of January, this was after the shoot which was on the 28th, on this meeting we were going to do the voice over, James had previously read the script and had planned for a voice actor to attend, once recorded the voice over we discussed the sound track as this would cost money to get a royalty free soundtrack, after this James was shown a first draft of the promotional video, there was several points he brought up, I noted these down and arranged for a final meeting on the 4th February.
Meeting four:
In this final meeting James watched the final video and decided that he did not want the voice actor, but everything else within the video he was happy with, i explained that i would remove the voice over and leave the music in, i emailed this footage to him on the 5th of February, (without the voice over), and he was happy, below are screenshots of the emails.
