Physco analytical theory

For this theory today we looked at physco analytical theory, this is looking at films/ tv shows from a physiological point of view. One of the thoeries we looked at was Freuds theory of how the human concise works, his theory consisted of three parts of the human mind, the ego, the super ego and the id all of these worked together to make decisions, the go ego is the 'moderator' this works through the decions that the super ego and the id throw at it, the super ego brings up issues and needs and the id comes up with ideas as to how to achieve them goals, an example of this would be the super ego saying, we need money, the id saying, let's rob a bank, and then the ego saying no to the id and working out another theory, we looked at a tv show called 'trap door' as an example of the ego theory.

The next theory we looked at was the uncanny theory, this is looking at childhood tv/films in a different perception, this is commonly used in horror films, it's the acting of making some ing familiar unfamiliar, this is why it's used a lot in horror films, for example children are seen as sweet and innocent but in horror films they're seen as evil and physcotic.

The next theory we looked at was 'Jacques lacan' his theory is based on something called the 'mirror phase' this is where a child realises that they are not part of their mother anymore whether it be them seeing themselves in the mirror or just realising they are apart for on them, he also explains how we go through life trying to reconnect with the 'real' and that we will never be able to reach this target, we seek for something called 'objet petit' this is the person or thing that will complete us, this doesn't exist but we are constantly looking for it.
