Today we created cinema like text using a 3D camera and the text tool. To start we first made a new composition, we made the composition in square pixel as this is the optimal composition setting for visual effects.
We added the text layers we needed and made each text layer a 3D layer, now we had a 3D layer we were able to key frame the Z axis. Before animating the text we needed to create a camera, we used a 28mm camera. The next stage we done was key framing the position so the text would come from behind the camera, into the shot and then out of the shot, we also keyframes the opacity so at the end the text layer would disappear, we then duplicated the text layer and changed the text. There was a problem we encountered with the key framing, keyframe interpolation, this is where after effects misinterprets the keyframe path, to solve this we right clicked on the key frame, selected keyframe interpolation and then changed auto bezier to linear, this is where rather than after effects trying to guess what you have done it changes it so you manually choose what the path of the keyframe is.
Once we had the animated text we added the hue/saturation effect and ticked the colourise box, this allowed us to change the colour of our text. When we are finished we rendered in H.264
