Solving FMP problems

'Making sure sound doesn't mess up'

When shooting the film make sure you are using the correct audio equipment for the right situation, for example, if you're shooting outside make sure a good windshield is being used. The next biggest help to making sure sound is good is to make sure someone is constantly monitoring the sound so they can hear for any faults and make sure the levels are being constantly changed to accommodate for the situation. There are several different microphones that could be used, for my FMP i sued the zoom h6, the reason i used this is because of the interchangeable microphones, this came with a stereo mic and a shotgun mic, this helped me a lot, although i did not use audio from outside i still had a wind shield just in case. When shooting my FMP i used the cameras on board microphone on the highest sensitivity, although this was too loud it was a good reference for when matching the zoom audio to the footage correctly. When doing audio make sure you have back up upon back up because bad audio will distract the viewers attention from the other aspects of the FMP.
